telepresence, video and voice communication solutions, today announced that in a recent
research note “Videoconferencing – By The Numbers,” leading analyst firm Wainhouse Research
ranks Polycom as the global leader for total installed group systems as of July 2009, with an
estimated 41 per cent market share. The research note also reports that Polycom was the
leading supplier for global video conferencing systems shipped during first half 2009, with 35 per
cent market share.The Wainhouse Research market share figures are based on all group video conferencing systems, including executive “all in one” systems, HD video conferencing systems, and telepresence systems. The figures do not include videophones and PC software solutions.
